Projects I Rarely Take On:
  • Placements: feet, fingers, most of the hand, genital area, face, and scars that are under two years old
  • Subjects: others’ work without written permission, micro-fineline tiny work under 2”, extreme colourism or realism, neo-traditional., hate, vague cover-ups

AFTERCARE TDLR: TWO WEEK GUIDELINE
Instructions are given in person post session.  Gentle reminder that everyone’s healing process is different.

Bandages are to keep your wound clean and protected from external bacteria. Plasma, ink and blood will normally discharge for the first few days along with some swelling.

DO: (STEP BY STEP)
  1. Prepare a clean bedroom and fresh linens, wash your hands and grab clean paper towels
  2. Gently Remove Bandage after:
    Cotton Gauze: overnight
    Second Skin: 24 hours minimum
  3. Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and unscented soap at end of shower
  4. Pat dry with clean paper towels and apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer
  5. Keep it covered at all times with loose clothing
  6. Leave it alone until scabbing begins in the second week; try your best to stay dry and avoid soap
  7. Once scabbing begins, avoid scratching or picking! Instead, start moisturizing lightly once a day (water based only).
  8. Once healed, practice a healthy skincare routine and sun safety for longevity
  9. Email us a clear healed photo! We would love to see and make sure everything is A-OK!

DO NOT:
  • Re-bandage
  • Touch tattoo with unclean hands or allow anyone to touch your tattoo
  • Over-moisturize or use medical ointments, oil based moisturizers,  fragranced or sunscreen
  • Soak tattoo in any water or high-risk sports/activities
  • Clean or dry with personal or fabric towels until fully healed
  • Pick, peel or scratch tattoo at anytime
